CBG Tincture vs CBG Coffee: Which Is Right for You?
Both give you CBG. A CBG tincture is a liquid you add to any drink and dose yourself, so it is flexible. CBG coffee has the CBG already infused into the beans, so it is effortless and consistent. Choose the tincture for control, the coffee for a set-and-forget morning. Many people use both.
Here is how the two compare, and how to pick the one that fits your routine.
What is the difference?
CBG coffee is specialty coffee with cannabigerol infused into the beans, so every cup carries a set amount of CBG. A water-soluble CBG tincture is a near-flavorless liquid you add to whatever you are already drinking, so you decide how much and when. Same cannabinoid, two different ways to take it. Both are non-intoxicating and contain no detectable THC.
When a CBG tincture makes more sense
Choose the tincture if you want control and flexibility. You set your own dose, from a half dropper to a full one, and you can add it to coffee, tea, a smoothie, or plain water. It is the better pick if you already have a coffee you love and do not want to switch beans, if you drink CBG on some days but not others, or if you want to dial your amount up or down over time. Because it is water-soluble, it mixes in clean instead of beading on top like an oil tincture. See our CBG dosage guide for how to find your amount.
When CBG coffee makes more sense
Choose CBG coffee if you want it effortless. The CBG is already in the beans, so there is nothing to measure and every cup is consistent. Brew it the way you always do and you are done. Our Colombia CBG coffee carries about 8mg of CBG per cup, and the stronger Black Label about 16mg, each paired with an equal amount of CBD. If your CBG habit is your morning coffee anyway, this is the simplest path.
Can you use both?
Yes, and a lot of people do. CBG coffee covers your morning automatically, and the tincture fills in the rest: a little more CBG on a heavy day, or a dose in tea or water when you are not having coffee. The two work well together, and both keep CBG part of a daily ritual rather than a one-off.

Which should you start with?
If you are not sure, start with whatever fits your habit. Already a daily coffee drinker who wants the easiest on-ramp? Begin with the 150mg Colombia CBG coffee. Want to control your dose or add CBG to more than just coffee? Start with the water-soluble tincture. You can always add the other later, and you can compare everything in the CBG collection.
Common questions
Is a CBG tincture or CBG coffee better? Neither is better; they suit different habits. The tincture gives you dose control and works in any drink; CBG coffee is effortless and consistent per cup.
Can you put a CBG tincture in coffee? Yes. A water-soluble tincture mixes cleanly into hot or iced coffee without an oily film.
How much CBG is in each? The tincture is about 10mg per dropper in the 300mg size and 30mg in the 900mg. The coffees are about 8mg per cup (150mg) or 16mg per cup (300mg).
Can you use CBG coffee and a tincture together? Yes. Many people use coffee for the morning and the tincture to top up or for non-coffee days.
Will either get me high? No. Both are non-intoxicating and contain 0% detectable THC.
Our take
If you want it simple, CBG coffee wins: brew and go. If you want control, the tincture wins, your dose in any drink. And if you are like most of our regulars, you will end up with both, the coffee for the ritual and the tincture for everything else.
