Half the jitters. All the morning ritual.
Specialty single-origin coffee, gently infused with hemp. For mornings when you want focus without feeling like you are twenty-five again.
Shop the Coffee Read the Lab TestsWhat changed isn't your coffee. It's the caffeine load.
If your regular cup gives you the shakes, makes your stomach turn at noon, or leaves you crashing at three, the coffee is not the issue. It is the caffeine load you used to handle in your forties.
You can give up coffee. Most people who try last about six weeks before the morning ritual wins. Or you can swap to a cup that delivers the same wake, the same flavor, the same first-sip moment, with the edge taken off the chemistry.
That is what this page is about. A specialty roast with a measured amount of hemp extract, designed so the cup feels like coffee used to feel.
What we actually do to the bean.
We take specialty-grade beans, the kind a roaster would compete with, and we add a measured amount of hemp extract. It does not get you high. It does not numb you. It takes the edge off the caffeine. The result is a coffee that wakes you up the way you remember it used to.
The hemp goes onto the bean during the roast, not as an oil sprayed on after. That matters for two reasons. First, it bonds into the bean's cellular structure, so the dose stays even from the first cup of the bag to the last. Second, there is no oily residue, no separation, no funny aftertaste. You taste the coffee.
The hemp itself is broad-spectrum, which means the THC has been removed entirely. Every batch is verified at the analytical detection limit by an independent lab. Non-detect, every time.
What it does: takes the jitter, the chest pound, and the noon stomach turn off the caffeine you already drink.
What it does not do: get you high, sedate you, replace any medication, or substitute for sleep.
The bean is the product. The hemp is the accent.
Buddha Beans starts at SCA 80+ specialty grade. That is the floor. A trained Q-grader scores raw coffee on a 100-point scale across aroma, flavor, acidity, body, balance, sweetness, and clean cup. Anything below 80 is commodity coffee. Anything above is specialty. Most American supermarket coffee is 78. Most fast-casual cafe coffee is 81 to 83. Our floor is 80, and the lots we ship more often score 84 to 87.
Every coffee is single-origin and single-farm where possible. Colombia comes from the Huila department. Mexico comes from Chiapas. Burundi comes from a cooperative in the Kayanza province. We buy directly through importers we have used since 2018, which means we know the farmer, the elevation, the picking date, and the dry mill that processed the lot.
Two of the lines, the Organic Colombia and the Mexico, carry the USDA Organic seal. That means no synthetic pesticides, no synthetic fertilizers, certified through annual audits.
The company has been operating since 2018. Marc Narrie is the founder, the roaster, and the person who answers the phone. The Culver City roastery has been at 10008 National Boulevard since the move from San Diego. Eight years is a long time in a category that ate its young between 2018 and 2024.
Bring the lab report to your doctor.
This is the biggest reason new customers hesitate, and it is the right thing to hesitate about. You take prescription medications. You want to know exactly what is in the bag before you put it next to those prescriptions on your kitchen counter.
Every batch of Buddha Beans coffee is tested by an independent ISO 17025-accredited laboratory before it leaves the roastery. The test panel covers eleven cannabinoids, sixty-six pesticides, four heavy metals, five mycotoxins, twenty-one residual solvents, and the standard microbial screen. The certificate of analysis for every batch is published online, downloadable as a PDF, indexed by the batch ID printed on your bag.
Print one out and bring it to your doctor before you start. We support that. If your doctor has a question that needs more detail than the published COA, call the roastery and we will email the raw lab data the same business day.
The lab results page is open to everyone.
No account, no email gate, no waiting. Click through, scan the table, download the PDF for the batch you have at home. Compare the numbers on the report to the claims on the bag. If they do not match, you have written evidence.

Every quote below is verbatim from a verified buyer review on the live store. Names abbreviated to first name and last initial.
"I drink coffee all day long and it doesn't give me any jitters whatsoever and I'm still able to sleep like a baby."
Eduardo F., five stars, Colombia Artisan
"For years I have sought out a coffee blend that would not immediately trigger my IBS. My experience with Buddha Beans has made it evident there are clear and immediate benefits. I feel less jittery than after my previously favored La Colombe beans, and my stomach seems to be completely unaffected."
Laura, five stars, Ethiopia Kochere
"Provides smooth natural energy without the jittery feeling and no headaches. Other coffee brands make me feel jittery and anxious. The CBD balances the coffee perfectly."

A month of coffee, delivered.
If the first bag works, you can put the second on a schedule. A month of coffee shows up at the door, you brew it, and another bag follows when you are running low. Pause it for a trip, skip a delivery when the cabinet is full, or cancel any time by phone or email. No sales scripts.
The subscription locks your per-bag price for the life of the subscription, includes free shipping over fifty dollars, and gives a small recurring discount. It does not lock you in. The cancellation page is one click in your account, or one phone call to the roastery during business hours.

Specialty Grade Floor
SCA 80+ on every lot. Most American supermarket coffee is 78. The bar is set higher on purpose, because the hemp accent only works on a clean cup.
Direct-Trade Sourcing
Colombia from Huila, Mexico from Chiapas, Burundi from Kayanza. We know the farms, the importers, and the picking dates. Eight years of relationships.
Roasted to Order
Beans roast at the Culver City roastery and ship within one to two business days. No supermarket warehouse, no six months on a shelf. Roast date on every bag.
One Operator, One Number
Marc Narrie, founder and roaster, answers the phone. Order questions, shipping questions, lab analysis questions. The same person, every time.
Questions worth answering before you buy.
Will this interfere with my medications?
We cannot answer that. Your doctor can. Every batch ships with a third-party certificate of analysis that lists every cannabinoid in the bag at the exact concentration the lab measured. Print one out, bring it to your appointment, and let your doctor review it before you start drinking it. The lab results live at buddhabeanscoffee.com/pages/lab-results.
Is this safe to drink with blood pressure medication?
Same answer. We are coffee roasters, not pharmacists. Hemp extract and caffeine can interact with prescription medications, including blood pressure, blood thinner, and statin drugs. The lab analysis gives your doctor the exact compounds and doses to evaluate. That conversation is one phone call, and it is the right one to have before you switch what you drink in the morning.
How is this different from CBD oil or gummies?
Two differences. First, the cannabinoid is infused into the coffee bean itself during roasting, not added as an oil drop or a candy. You taste coffee, not hemp. Second, the dose is calibrated to take the edge off coffee jitters, not to deliver a wellness dose of CBD on its own. If you want a strong CBD effect, an oil or gummy is the format. If you want a smoother coffee that does not make you feel wired, this is the format.
Can I gift this to my husband, wife, or parent?
Yes. Add a gift message at checkout, ship to any address in the United States, and we tuck a handwritten note into the box. A 12-ounce bag is a no-pressure introduction. A two-bag pairing (the Half-Caf and the Decaf) is the gift most often given for someone who used to drink three cups a day and has been cutting back.
Do I need an account to order?
No. Guest checkout is one page. Enter your address, your card, and you are done. An account makes reordering faster and lets you manage a subscription from one screen, but it is optional. If you want to skip the account entirely, you can.
Can I order without using the website?
Yes. Email info@buddhabeanscoffee.com during business hours, Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM Pacific. A real person at the Culver City roastery confirms the address and the card, and emails a receipt the same business day.
Do you ship to retirement communities and assisted living addresses?
Yes. We ship to any United States residential address, retirement community, assisted living facility, condominium concierge desk, or PO box. If the community has a mailroom or a sign-for-delivery policy, USPS and UPS handle the handoff. Standard shipping arrives in 3 to 5 business days from the Culver City roastery.
What is the half-caf and decaf option?
Half-caf is a fifty-fifty blend of regular Colombia and Swiss Water Process decaf Colombia, giving you roughly half the caffeine of a standard cup. Decaf uses Swiss Water Process beans only, which removes caffeine with water and no chemical solvents, and retains the bean's flavor. Both are infused with broad-spectrum hemp during the roast. Both pass the same third-party lab panel as the full-caffeine line.
How long does shipping take?
Standard shipping is 3 to 5 business days from Culver City, California, on USPS Priority Mail or UPS Ground depending on the destination. Orders placed before noon Pacific on a weekday roast and ship the next business day. A tracking number arrives by email the morning the box leaves the roastery. Shipping is free on orders over $50.
Can I get a printed catalog?
Yes. Email info@buddhabeanscoffee.com with a mailing address and we send a printed product sheet, a tasting-notes card for each origin, and a sample-pack order form. The catalog arrives by USPS in about a week.
One note on the bag itself.
A handful of customers have told us the pull-tab opening on the resealable bag is narrower than they would like, especially when scooping a tablespoon out of a fresh bag. They are right. The next packaging run, scheduled for later this year, opens the tab wider and adds a printed batch ID on the back where it is easier to find. Until then, if a wider opening would help, ask for a complimentary scoop with your first order and we will tuck one in the box.
One bag is the only commitment.
Order a 12-ounce bag, drink it for a week, see what your mornings feel like. If it is not for you, we refund the cost without a sales call.
