We start with single-origin beans from high-altitude farms in Colombia, Ethiopia, Burundi, and more. Because of this direct sourcing, every bean is specialty-grade and scored SCA 80+.

Next, our ZenFusion process bonds broad-spectrum CBD to the bean during roasting. Unlike sprayed-on methods, this means a consistent dose in every cup and no hemp aftertaste.

Our Story
From a Popcorn Maker to the World's Best CBD Coffee
Marc started Buddha Beans in 2018 in San Diego, roasting beans on a hot air popcorn maker. He used CBD to manage his own health and noticed something: adding it to coffee eliminated the jitters and anxiety he got from caffeine alone. As a result, he spent the next year developing the ZenFusion process, a way to infuse CBD directly into the bean during roasting for consistent dosing in every cup.
Today, Buddha Beans is headquartered in Los Angeles. We source specialty-grade single-origin beans from farms in Colombia, Ethiopia, Burundi, Peru, and Mexico. Every batch is micro-roasted in small batches and third-party lab tested before it ships. In addition, we publish Certificates of Analysis for every production run so you can verify exactly what is in your bag.

What is CBD coffee?+
CBD coffee is real coffee infused with cannabidiol (CBD), a non-psychoactive compound from hemp. It delivers the same caffeine and flavor as regular coffee. However, the CBD modulates your stress response through the endocannabinoid system, reducing jitters, anxiety, and the afternoon crash that regular coffee can cause.
Will CBD coffee get me high?+
No. CBD is non-psychoactive. It does not produce a high or impair cognition. Buddha Beans uses broad-spectrum CBD with zero THC, verified by independent lab testing on every batch. Because of this, you can drink CBD coffee and drive, work, and function at full capacity.
How does CBD coffee make you feel?+
Most people describe it as calm, focused energy without the edge. You get the alertness from caffeine, but the anxiety and jitters are reduced. Effects start within 30 to 60 minutes and last 4 to 6 hours. As a result, many customers report they no longer need an afternoon second cup.
How much CBD is in each cup?+
Our standard 12oz bags contain 300mg of CBD, which works out to approximately 15mg per cup. Our Black Label line contains 600mg (approximately 30mg per cup). For example, 15mg is a functional daily dose for focus and calm. 30mg leans more toward deeper relaxation and recovery.
Is CBD coffee legal?+
Yes. Hemp-derived CBD containing less than 0.3% THC is federally legal under the 2018 Farm Bill. Buddha Beans products contain zero THC (broad-spectrum). That said, state laws vary slightly. CBD products with zero THC face the fewest restrictions in any U.S. jurisdiction.
What makes Buddha Beans different from other CBD coffee?+
Three things. First, we use single-origin specialty-grade beans (SCA 80+) from specific farms, not unnamed blends. Can I drink CBD coffee every day?+
Yes. CBD is generally well-tolerated with a good safety profile according to the World Health Organization. Many of our customers drink CBD coffee daily as their morning ritual. In fact, consistent daily use may produce better results because CBD builds in your system over time. Consult your doctor if you take prescription medications.
How fresh is your coffee?+
We roast in small batches in Los Angeles and ship within 1 to 4 days of roasting. Freshness matters because coffee peaks at 7 to 21 days after roast.
