The infusion method matters more than people think

Buddha Beans uses a pre-roast bonding process (ZenFusion) that integrates broad-spectrum CBD oil with green coffee beans before roasting begins. The cannabinoid penetrates into the cellular structure of the bean. Most CBD coffees on the market, including many of Hakuna Supply's SKUs, use post-roast spray infusion. The cannabinoid sits on the bean exterior.

The practical difference: pre-roast bonding produces more consistent dose per cup, slower oxidation over shelf life, and cleaner mouthfeel without surface oils. Spray infusion is faster to set up and cheaper at scale.

Bean grade and origin variety

Buddha Beans specializes in SCA 84+ micro-lot single-origin coffee, with origins rotated based on direct-trade availability. The current rotation spans Ethiopia (Kochere, Yirgacheffe), Colombia (Salgar, Antioquia), Burundi (natural process), Vietnam (anaerobic natural), Mexico (Chiapas), and Peru (Cajamarca). CBG, the cannabinoid Buddha Beans pioneered in coffee

Buddha Beans was one of the first specialty roasters to release a CBG-infused coffee (2019). The product line now includes Colombia CBG + CBD (6.25mg each per 8oz) and Black Label Colombia CBG (12.5mg each).
