If you sell wellness products, run a coffee brand, operate a wholesale distribution business, or want to launch a CBD coffee line under your own brand, Buddha Beans can produce it for you. We have been roasting and infusing specialty-grade coffee with broad-spectrum CBD since 2018, and we offer toll roasting, white label, and private label services for clients who meet our quality and volume standards.
Three service tiers, one production line
The terminology in B2B coffee manufacturing varies by region and broker. To keep things clear, here is how Buddha Beans defines each tier:
| Tier | What It Is | Best For |
|---|---|---|
| Toll Roasting | You supply specifications and (optionally) green coffee. We produce the finished roasted product. | Roasters who want CBD infusion capability without building their own infusion line. |
| White Label | You use one of our existing house formulations. Our standard packaging template, your brand and label. | Wellness brands, retailers, or affiliates entering the CBD coffee category quickly with proven product. |
| Private Label | Custom blend development, custom dose, custom packaging design owned by you. | Established brands with a defined customer base who want a unique formulation and full brand ownership. |
All three tiers run through the same production line, the same green-coffee sourcing relationships, the same hemp supply chain, and the same QA program. The difference is how much customization you want and how much production volume you can commit to.
Why work with Buddha Beans
Specialty-grade coffee, not commodity
Every bean we roast meets the Specialty Coffee Association standard for specialty grade (SCA 80+ cupping score). Most CBD coffee on the market uses commodity-grade beans because cannabinoid extract masks defects. Our position: if the coffee was good, the CBD wouldn't have to hide anything.
ZenFusion pre-roast infusion
We bond broad-spectrum CBD oil to the green bean before roasting. The cannabinoid sits inside the bean's cellular matrix, not on the surface. The result is a measurable, consistent dose per cup with no oily mouthfeel and no surface separation in the bag. Read the full ZenFusion process page.
USDA Organic hemp from US farms
Broad-spectrum CBD oil is sourced from USDA-certified organic hemp grown in Oregon and Washington. Domestic supply, traceable, organic, and broad-spectrum (THC removed entirely while preserving CBG, CBC, and the natural terpene profile).
Third-party COA on every batch
Every production lot is tested by an independent lab for cannabinoid potency, THC content, residual solvents, heavy metals, pesticides, and microbials. The COA is published with the batch and can be linked from your customer-facing pages.
Direct-trade origin sourcing
Colombia, Ethiopia, Burundi, Vietnam, Mexico, Costa Rica, Peru. We work directly with single-origin lots and can specify origin by name on private label runs. The same supply chain that fuels our consumer line.
Seven years of category experience
Buddha Beans has been roasting CBD coffee since 2018, longer than most of the brands still operating. We've iterated the infusion process, the roast curves, the packaging, and the QA program through multiple regulatory cycles. You skip the trial-and-error.
The four-step process
- Consultation. Email sales@buddhabeanscoffee.com with your specifications: target volume, dose range, origin preferences, packaging format, lead time. We respond within 48 hours with feasibility, MOQ, and a preliminary quote.
- Formulation. For white label, we confirm the house formulation that fits your spec. For private label, we develop and bench-test a custom blend, and ship samples for your approval.
- Production. Once formulation is locked, we roast, infuse, and package the agreed volume. Each batch goes through third-party lab testing before shipping.
- Delivery. Finished product ships in your packaging, with COAs and any accompanying documentation. Repeat orders run faster once the formulation is locked.
Compliance and quality
Federal regulatory framework
Buddha Beans operates within the framework set by the 2018 Farm Bill, which legalized hemp and hemp-derived cannabinoids containing less than 0.3 percent THC. Our broad-spectrum extract is verified non-detectable for THC on every batch. State-level rules vary; we can advise on which states have additional restrictions during your initial consultation.
Lab testing program
Every production batch is tested by an independent third-party lab. The Certificate of Analysis covers:
- Cannabinoid potency (CBD, CBG, CBC, and minor cannabinoids)
- THC content, verified non-detectable
- Residual solvents, verified absent
- Heavy metals (lead, cadmium, mercury, arsenic)
- Pesticides, screened against the standard panel
- Microbials (total aerobic count, yeast and mold, E. coli, Salmonella)
Documentation package
Serious B2B inquiries receive our compliance documentation under NDA: facility audit summary, supplier qualification records, sample COAs, label compliance review, and packaging spec sheets. This is what you would hand to your retail partners or compliance counsel during onboarding.

Who this is for
Buddha Beans toll roasting, white label, and private label work best for clients in these categories:
- Existing wellness brands launching a CBD coffee SKU into a customer base that already trusts the brand for adjacent products.
- Independent cafes and small chains that want a CBD coffee on the menu without operating their own infusion line.
- Retailers and distributors moving into the CBD-infused beverage category as part of a broader functional beverage assortment.
- Subscription and direct-to-consumer brands that need a turnkey production partner with documented compliance.
- Specialty coffee roasters that want to add CBD infusion as a service tier without building the equipment, sourcing the hemp, or developing the QA program.
- Hospitality and amenity programs (hotels, spas, gyms, co-working spaces) building CBD coffee into their service offering.
If your business is not in the categories above, we still want to hear from you. The list is what we have done; the list is not what we can do.
What we will not do
To save us both time, here are the projects we decline:
- Direct-to-consumer brands competing with Buddha Beans on identical positioning. We will not produce a private label CBD coffee that copies our flavor notes, our dose specifications, and our brand promise.
- Products marketed with explicit medical or therapeutic claims. CBD coffee is a wellness beverage. Brands that want to claim disease treatment will face FDA action and we will not be the supplier on those.
- Quantities below our minimum threshold. Our infusion process has fixed setup costs per run. Sub-MOQ requests are referred to other roasters.
- Hemp-source bypass. If a client wants to use unregulated or non-USDA-organic hemp, we are not the right partner.
Frequently asked questions
What is CBD coffee toll roasting?
Toll roasting is a service in which a roaster produces coffee on behalf of another company. For CBD coffee, this includes infusing broad-spectrum CBD oil into the coffee under controlled conditions, packaging the finished product, and shipping to the client. The client owns the product and brand; the roaster handles the technical production.
What is the difference between white label, private label, and toll roasting?
White label uses the roaster's existing formulations and packaging template, with the client's brand applied. Private label allows custom formulation and unique packaging design owned by the client. Toll roasting is the production-only service, applicable to either model. Buddha Beans offers all three.
What is the minimum order quantity (MOQ)?
MOQs depend on the service tier and the level of customization. White label using house formulations starts lower, private label with custom blend development starts higher because of the bench work involved. Email sales@buddhabeanscoffee.com with your project specs and we will quote MOQ and lead time within 48 hours.
Does Buddha Beans handle hemp sourcing for private label runs?
Yes. We source broad-spectrum CBD oil exclusively from USDA-certified organic hemp farms in Oregon and Washington. The supply chain is documented, batch-tested, and traceable. We can also work with client-supplied CBD provided it meets our potency, purity, and COA standards.
What dose ranges can you produce?
Our standard production range is 6mg to 25mg of broad-spectrum CBD per 8oz cup. Higher doses are possible but require additional bench testing for cannabinoid stability during the roast. CBG and CBG plus CBD blends are also available.
Do you provide Certificates of Analysis (COAs)?
Every production batch is third-party lab tested. The COA reports cannabinoid potency (CBD, CBG, CBC, plus minor cannabinoids), THC content (verified non-detectable), residual solvents, heavy metals, pesticides, and microbials. COAs are delivered with each batch and are publishable on the client's website.
What coffee origins can clients choose from?
Buddha Beans sources direct-trade single-origin beans from Colombia (Salgar Antioquia), Ethiopia (Kochere Yirgacheffe), Burundi, Vietnam (anaerobic natural), Mexico (Chiapas), Costa Rica (Tarrazu), and Peru. Clients can specify origin by name, or by cup profile (chocolate-forward, citrus-forward, low-acid) and we will recommend the right lot.
What roast levels are supported?
Light, medium, and dark roast profiles are all available. Cannabinoid integration during roasting requires a specifically calibrated roast curve, which our team has refined since 2018.
Can you produce decaf CBD coffee for private label?
Yes. We use the Swiss Water Process for decaffeination, a chemical-free method that preserves about 85% of the original flavor profile. The same broad-spectrum CBD infusion applies. See our decaf product approach.
What packaging formats are available?
Whole bean and pre-ground in standard 12oz bags, K-Cup compatible single-serve pods, and bulk formats for cafe accounts. Custom packaging design is supported under private label tier.
How long is the typical lead time?
White label using house formulations: typically 3 to 4 weeks from order to ship. Private label with custom blend development: 6 to 10 weeks from initial consultation to first production run. Repeat orders are faster once the formulation is locked.
Is your facility cGMP certified?
Our facility follows current Good Manufacturing Practices for food production. Specific certifications and audit details are shared with serious B2B inquiries under NDA. Contact sales@buddhabeanscoffee.com for our compliance package.
