What is ZenFusion?
ZenFusion is Buddha Beans' proprietary process for infusing CBD directly into the coffee bean during roasting, rather than spraying it on after. The cannabinoid bonds to the bean itself, which produces two outcomes most CBD coffees cannot match: a consistent dose in every cup, and no oily residue or hemp aftertaste. Marc Narrie developed the method in 2019 after a year of experiments on a hot-air popcorn maker in San Diego, and it remains the core difference between Buddha Beans and every other CBD coffee on the market.
Why ZenFusion matters
Most CBD coffee is made by taking roasted beans and spraying or dusting them with CBD oil or tincture. That approach has three problems. First, distribution is uneven, so some cups contain more CBD than others. Second, the oil sits on the outside of the bean, leaving a film on top of the cup. Third, the hemp flavor comes through because the cannabinoid never integrated with the bean.
ZenFusion solves all three by introducing CBD during the roasting process itself. The cannabinoid bonds at the bean level, which means each bean carries a similar dose, there is no external oil, and the coffee tastes like coffee.

What ZenFusion does not do
ZenFusion does not change the caffeine content, the origin flavor profile, or the roast level. The coffee is still specialty-grade single-origin roasted to the profile each bean calls for. ZenFusion only changes how CBD is introduced.
Verification
Every batch roasted with ZenFusion is sent to an independent third-party lab for Certificate of Analysis testing. COAs are published on the product pages so customers can verify cannabinoid content and zero THC per batch.
