Marc Narrie, Founder and Head Roaster

Marc Narrie founded Buddha Beans Coffee Co. in 2018 to do two things at once: roast specialty coffee worth slowing down for, and infuse it with hemp without wrecking the cup. He builds the sourcing relationships behind every origin we roast, develops the CBD and CBG infusions, and signs off on the third-party lab tests before anything ships.

Marc started Buddha Beans in San Diego out of a simple frustration. Most CBD coffee tasted like a science experiment: grassy, bitter, an afterthought bolted onto cheap beans. He went the other way. Source single-origin specialty beans first, then infuse broad-spectrum hemp extract with a process clean enough that you taste the coffee, not the hemp.

Today he oversees the full line, from the everyday single origins to the experimental anaerobic and natural-process lots, plus the wholesale roasting program. Every batch is third-party lab tested, and the certificates of analysis are public.
