CBD Coffee Dosage: How Much CBD Is in a Cup?
How much CBD ends up in your cup depends on the bag you buy and how many cups you brew from it. Buddha Beans prints the total milligrams on every bag and tests each batch, so the math is simple. Here is how to work out your per-cup dose.
How much CBD is in a bag of Buddha Beans coffee?
Total CBD per bag ranges from 50mg in our smallest 2oz size up to 600mg in the Black Label line. A standard 12oz bag is commonly 300mg. The exact amount is in the product title and on the product page for every coffee.
How much CBD is in one cup?
A 12oz bag brews roughly 16 to 24 cups depending on how strong you make it. Take the milligrams on the bag and divide by the number of cups you get from it. A 300mg bag that makes 20 cups works out to about 15mg of CBD per cup.
| Bag total | Cups per bag (approx) | CBD per cup (approx) |
|---|---|---|
| 150mg | 20 | ~7.5mg |
| 300mg | 20 | ~15mg |
| 600mg | 20 | ~30mg |
These are estimates. Your real per-cup amount shifts with grind, dose of grounds, and brew method.
Does brewing destroy the CBD?
No. The cannabinoids are infused into the bean and hold up to normal brewing temperatures, so a hot cup still delivers the dose. Cold brew works too, it just extracts more slowly over its longer steep.
What strength should you start with?
If you are new to CBD coffee, a 150mg or 300mg bag is an easy starting point, around 7 to 15mg per cup. People who already use CBD and want more per cup tend to reach for the 600mg Black Label. Start low, see how a cup sits with you, and adjust from there.
Half-caf and decaf options
If you want the CBD without the full caffeine load, the Half-Caf Colombia Blend cuts the caffeine roughly in half, and the Colombia Decaf uses the Swiss Water Process to remove almost all of it while keeping the CBD.
