Where Our Coffee Comes From

Every coffee we sell is single-origin, sourced directly from small farms in Colombia, Ethiopia, Mexico, Uganda, Burundi, Peru, Costa Rica, and Vietnam. We work with growers who prioritize quality at every stage, from soil health and harvest timing to processing method and export. These are not commodity coffees. They are specialty-grade lots selected for their complexity, cleanliness, and flavor potential, roasted in small batches to bring out the best of each origin.

How We Source Our Hemp

Our CBD comes exclusively from USDA-certified organic hemp farms in Oregon and Washington. We do not source internationally, and we do not use hemp grown with synthetic pesticides, herbicides, or chemical fertilizers. Every lot is traceable from seed to extraction. The hemp is processed using winterized CO2 extraction, a solvent-free method that produces a clean, refined broad spectrum CBD oil. Winterization removes the fats and waxes from the extract, improving how the CBD binds to the coffee during roasting and increasing bioavailability in the final cup.

What Broad Spectrum Means

All of our CBD products use broad spectrum CBD, which means the extract contains a full range of cannabinoids and terpenes naturally present in the hemp plant, including CBD, CBG, CBC, and others, while containing 0% THC. This allows for what researchers call the entourage effect, where the combination of cannabinoids and terpenes works more effectively together than any single compound alone. You get the full benefit of the plant without any psychoactive effects.

Third-Party Lab Testing

Every batch of Buddha Beans CBD coffee is independently tested by a third-party laboratory before it ships. Our Story

Buddha Beans Coffee Co. was founded in 2018 in San Diego, California by Marc who began roasting coffee on a hot air popcorn maker. HIs mission was to create the highest-quality CBD coffee available. Marc had been using CBD for a long time and it worked for many different ailments he had and helped decrease teh negative side effects associated with drinking coffee. We believed that coffee and CBD are natural partners: caffeine for energy, CBD for calm, focused balance.

Every bag of Buddha Beans starts with single-origin, specialty-grade coffee beans sourced directly from small farms and cooperatives in Colombia, Ethiopia, and Mexico to name a few. We partner with farmers who practice sustainable agriculture and fair trade principles.

How We Make It
